- GCAP GERMANY IN THE RUN UP TO NATIONAL ELECTION
- On Sunday, September 27th 2009 there will be a Federal Election in Germany. Following the election, the parties will begin with coalition negotiations designed to form the new Government. Thereafter, parliamentarians of the Bundestag will elect a new chancellor. The outcome of the election will be crucial for the design of German development policies in the upcoming four years. GCAP Germany (“Deine Stimme gegen Armut”) is working hard to bring development issues and MDGs to the public agenda. This is not easy as domestic issues related to financial and economic crisis are dominating the election campaigns.
- SCOTTISH CLIMATE CHANGE BILL

About GCAP Europe
GCAP Europe is made of 33 national coalitions representing 30 countries all over the continent from Portugal to Azerbaijan. The European coalitions have 2 European representatives sitting in the GCAP Global Council (GCAP Governing Body). They are elected on an annual basis during the GCAP Europe Assembly traditionally taking place at the end of each year. A regional secretariat was set up in February 2007 and the latter is hosted by the Coordinadora de ONGD-España, Spanish NGO platform for development (www.coordinadoraongd.org), since March 2009.
