GCAP Zambia
National Coalition
The National Coaltion has launched the 2008 - 2010 mobilisation under a new name TIYENDE PAMODZI AGAINST POVERTY - ZAMBIA. TIYENDE PAMODZI means Forward Together or Moving Together, the song was a pillar of solidarity in the fight for political independence. Tiyende Pamodzi calls for partnership and a united voice in the fight against poverty. We want the Zambian Campaign to be a true voice of the Zambian people.

- THE GCAP E-LETTER - MARCH 08 2010 - Edition #50
- The Zambia We Want Campaign Launch
- Under the leadership of Women for Change, Zambian civil society rallied people from across the provinces, the compounds (poorer working class area’s) and suburbs to “shape and drive” the Zambia We Want Campaign. Upwards of 650 people, at a conservative estimate, gathered to answer the call, speak out and begin to give shape to the Zambia they want. The Mulungushi International Convention Centre played host to voices of the poor but it is clear the echo reverberates across Zambia.

- Stand Up and Take Action Works!
- This year Stand Up and Take Action Against Poverty and Inequality mobilised an incredible 173,045,325 million people during over 3,000 events in more than 120 countries. In addition to the increase in numbers and the breaking of a new Guinness World record for the largest mobilization of human beings in recorded history, Stand Up 2009 was characterised by even stronger political messages than other years, as the 2015 deadline for the fulfillment of the MDGs looms and the devastating combined affects of the climate, financial, food and gender crises have begun to manifest in increased poverty and inequality.
