Pobreza Cero handed a Christmas trade justice basket to José Montilla at the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism. The coalition delivered this basket to demand that Spain takes a position of leadership in the trade negotiations and works to promote international trade rules that are fair to poorer nations. “We want to remind the Ministry that we are awaiting decisions taken at the forthcoming WTO Ministerial in Hong Kong, as well as the position that the official Spanish delegation takes... It is necessary to stop devising proposals that only serve the interests of rich countries and multinationals.”
