White Band Day 2 - Philippines

On Tuesday 6th September, the Philippines held their first major White Band Day 2 event, entitled " Wake Up to Poverty: The People's Rating of the Government's Performance on the MDGs". This event was aired on several national TV channels, and had a great media response. Global Call to Action Against Poverty (GCAP)-Philippines gave the Arroyo administration failing marks in its efforts to achieve the MDGs, citing its poor performance in implementing poverty-reduction programs
