White Band Day 1 - Bangladesh

Despite dark clouds looming above the head and intermittent rain, the First White Band Day was observed in Bangladesh capital, Dhaka. Hundreds of men, women and children braved it to the Central Shaheed Minar to express their solidarity with the Global Call to Action Against Poverty (GCAP) along with the rest of the world on July 1, 2005.
