Digital Debut at UN Summit

The following is an excerpt from the MNM Policy Center’s Malaria Watch blog:
In less than two weeks, leaders from around the globe will descend upon New York City for United Nations Week and the annual General Assembly meeting. The agenda features an historic summit on global issues known as the “Millennium Development Goals” (MDGs) and the Social Good Summit, a program about how digital industry, policy, media technology, and social networks can play in addressing global health and humanitarian issues.

October a busy time for health financing

Big news from the GAVI Alliance: In October, right after the Global Fund’s replenishment meeting, GAVI will host current and potential donors at an official resource mobilization meeting.
This meeting will be the first opportunity for donors to pledge the $1.1 billion needed for immunization programs between 2010 and 2012. Where possible, donors can also make commitments for the period between 2013 and 2015.
