The main task of the GCAP International Facilitation Team is to inspire and to promote co-operation and mutual support between the participating regional/national coalitions and networks. The mandate of the group is defined by the policy objectives and mobilisation plans decided by the Beirut meeting. The group has this mandate until the end of the year 2007.

At the GCAP global meeting in Montevideo on 3-5 May 2007, it was decided that GCAP would continue to operate at least till 2015.
