The Feminist Task Force has been covering the UN Summit on the Financial and Economic Crisis and its Impact on Development as part of the 10 Days of Action initiative.
The 10 Days of Action: Countdown to Commitments is a mobilization tool to help raise awareness, build momentum and deliver key civil society messaging around the UN Conference on the Financial and Economic Crisis and its Impact on Development, scheduled for 24 – 26 June, 2009, at the UN Headquarters in New York City.
The Global Call to Action Against Poverty is calling on the world to join social movements everywhere as we celebrate the ‘Day of the African Child’ and kick off an important 10-day initiative that will help deliver all of our demands to the world leaders at the United Nations Conference on the Financial and Economic Crisis and its Impact on Development on 24-26 June in New York City.

La liberalización de las políticas económicas acompañada de la globalización y la rapidez con la que este fenómeno llevó la vida en el mundo en los últimos años hizo que el estado nación desapareciera. Las diferentes redes internacionales, organizaciones, plataformas, sindicatos, de la sociedad civil que actúan sobre la cancelación de la deuda, los derechos de las mujeres, el Foro social mundial, el cambio climático, la salud, los derechos de la niñez, etc. se han dado cita en el Palacio de Naciones de Ginebra.

On-line registration for the UN Summit – DEADLINE MAY 13TH
The on-line registration for the United Nations Conference on the World Financial and Economic Crisis and its Impact on Development (1-3 June), also referred to as the ‘UN Summit,’ is now open for Non-governmental Organizations in consultative status with ECOSOC as well as those that were granted ad hoc accreditation to the International Conference on Financing for Development (ICFfD) or its follow-up process.
