High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness - "more and better aid"

Tied aid, conditionality, the use of aid as a foreign policy tool, the use of concessionary loans as a form of development assistance, the use of debt cancellation to inflate ODA figures – all of this contributes to aid not being used for poverty reduction and the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals. The organisation Reality of Aid estimates that only 25% of new aid resources from 2000 to 2004 was available for poverty reduction or MDG programs.

Better Aid national advocacy and media toolkit - English

The Better Aid national advocacy and media toolkit for use in the run up to and during the CSO Forum and the OECD HLF 3, in Accra, in September 2008. This is intended to support national advocacy and media activities, which can be conducted by the Better Aid position paper signatories and other concerned CSOs at the national level.
