The Global Call to Action against Poverty (GCAP) is the worlds largest civil society movement calling for an end to poverty and inequality. GCAP is a worldwide alliance of non-government organizations, trade unions, community groups, faith groups, youth, women and other campaigners working together across more than 100 national platforms. GCAP actions have come under the banner "Make Poverty History" in the UK, Canada and Australia, the ONE campaign in the US, and various other nationally relevant slogans using the unifying symbol of the white band.
GCAP is no more than those local messages and actions in various languages. The electronic white band (E-White Band) is an online individual white band where you can write a message. Your message will then be displayed on a global white band chain visible on the whiteband.org site.
