Feminist Task Force GCAP e-Campaign – 12 Days of Action on the 12 Critical Areas of Concern of the Beijing Platform for Action
The Feminist Task Force-GCAP e-campaign is launched today, March 8th, commemorating the 15th anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women (FWCW), which was held in Beijing in 1995, and coinciding with the 54th United Nations (UN) Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York.

The Establishment and subsequent launch of the much-awaited Youth Development Fund on 20th February 2010 is a milestone in the country’s history in an effort to eradicate extreme poverty and register remarkable social-economic development.
The Zambia We Want Campaign Launch
Under the leadership of Women for Change, Zambian civil society rallied people from across the provinces, the compounds (poorer working class area’s) and suburbs to “shape and drive” the Zambia We Want Campaign. Upwards of 650 people, at a conservative estimate, gathered to answer the call, speak out and begin to give shape to the Zambia they want. The Mulungushi International Convention Centre played host to voices of the poor but it is clear the echo reverberates across Zambia.
GCAP Rwanda to launch of Piga Debe Campaign on 08 March 2010
PIGA DEBE” in Kiswahili means “make a big noise,” and draws its inspiration from millions of women’s voices in Africa who have repeatedly shouted over the years that “Enough is enough; no more woman should die while giving life.”
